After we launched our national print campaign for doc martens, we followed it up with some trade ads. This one that David Baldwin wrote was very popular with retailers all across America.

A passion for green

I started working on green marketing efforts in 1992 at Cole & Weber. Of course, we didn't call it green marketing efforts back then. It was more like..."oh crap, I have to do an ad for a utility client...can't I work on the snowboard account?" Time passed. I matured. And now I've grown to love working on projects that promote the idea of using less vs. buying more. One of my first efforts was a campaign for Super Good Cents Homes. I went on to create several demand side marketing (DSM) and alternative energy campaigns for Portland General Electric, Bonneville Power Administration, Avista Utilities, Earth Advantage and The Northwest Energy Efficiency Alliance. These ranged from the traditional broadcast, print and outdoor to web and interactive pieces. I labeled all this work "green" in my blog.
